1. Information We Access or Store
Loadly does not sell your personal data.
The App may access or store the following information:
Links You Paste or Share
When you paste a link into the App and start a lookup, or share a link to Loadly from another app, that link is sent over HTTPS to our own media resolution service. The service reads the public page the link points at and returns the media it finds — titles, thumbnails, available qualities, and direct file addresses.
Two things are worth being clear about:
- A link shared to Loadly from another app is looked up immediately, because that is what choosing “share to Loadly” is asking for.
- A link that simply appears in the input box — including one filled in from your clipboard — is not sent anywhere until you start the lookup yourself.
The link itself is the only thing sent. We do not attach an account, an email address, a name, or a device identifier to it, because the App does not have one to attach.
We do not retain the links you submit, or the IP addresses those requests come from, for any longer than it takes to process the request. We keep no history of the links you have looked up or the downloads you have started.
Clipboard Access
If the “Paste link automatically” setting is on (it is on by default), the App reads your clipboard each time you return to the Home screen. It looks for something shaped like a link. If it finds one, it fills the link box with it; if it does not, nothing happens and the text is discarded.
Clipboard text is used only to fill that box on your device. It is never transmitted, logged, or stored, and nothing reaches our service until you start a lookup.
You can switch this off at any time in Settings → Paste link automatically. With it off, the App no longer reads the clipboard on its own; it reads it only when you tap the paste button next to the link box yourself.
Downloaded Files
Files you choose to download are written to your device. Where they go depends on the “Save to gallery” setting:
- On (default) — into your device's shared media folders, as
Movies/Loadly,Pictures/Loadly, orMusic/Loadly, so they appear in your gallery and other apps. - Off — into the App's own folder, where they do not appear in your gallery. On Android 10 and later this folder is not readable by other apps. On Android 9 and earlier, an app holding the storage permission can read it, because the platform did not isolate it yet.
The file transfer runs directly between your device and the content delivery network that serves the file. The bytes of your downloads never pass through our servers, and we never receive a copy of anything you download.
Download History
The App stores a record of your downloads locally on your device, including the title, the platform the link came from, the file name, the location of the saved file, the file size, the download status, and the time it completed. This is what fills the Downloads screen. It is stored on your device only and is never uploaded.
App Preferences
The App stores your preferences locally on your device, including:
- App language
- Theme (system, light, or dark)
- Download notifications on or off
- Paste link automatically on or off
- Save to gallery on or off
Firebase Analytics, Crash Reporting, Performance, and Remote Config
The App uses Firebase services provided by Google, including Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Performance Monitoring, and Firebase Remote Config.
These services may automatically collect limited technical and diagnostic information such as app version, app-instance identifiers, Firebase installation identifiers, the Android advertising identifier, crash logs, stack traces, relevant app state at the time of a crash, device model, operating system version, screen and locale settings, performance metrics, app start time, network request latency, masked IP address or country-level location derived from IP address, and install referrer information provided by Google Play.
This information is used to understand app stability, diagnose crashes, monitor performance, deliver configuration changes without a new app release, and improve the App. We do not sell your personal data.
Google Play In-App Review and In-App Update
The App uses Google Play's in-app review and in-app update features. Whether a review prompt or an update prompt is shown is decided by Google Play, not by us. We do not receive your review, your rating, or any personal information through these features. The App records only a single local flag noting that a review has already been requested, so that you are not asked twice.
Advertising
Loadly displays ads provided by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Ads help support the App and may appear as banners, native ads, interstitials, or app-open ads.
The advertising SDK collects and shares IP addresses (which can indicate approximate location), app and ad interactions, diagnostic data, and device or account identifiers, including the Android advertising ID and app set ID where available. Google uses this information to deliver and measure ads, perform analytics, and prevent fraud. Advertising data is encrypted in transit.
Ad personalization depends on your choices, region, and Google's requirements. Loadly uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent where required and checks whether ads may be requested before initializing advertising. When available, you can review or change your choices in Settings → Ad privacy choices. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID using your device's Android ad privacy settings. Non-personalized or limited ads can still involve data processing for ad delivery, measurement, and fraud prevention.
2. How We Use Information
We use information only to provide and improve App functionality, including:
- Resolving a link you provide into the media available at it
- Downloading the file you select and saving it to your device
- Continuing a download in the background and resuming it after a lost connection
- Notifying you when a download finishes or fails
- Showing your download history and letting you play, share, or delete saved files
- Saving your app preferences and chosen language
- Diagnosing crashes, monitoring performance, and improving stability
- Delivering configuration changes without requiring a new app release
- Displaying and measuring ads, managing advertising consent, and preventing advertising fraud
3. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services for platform, lookup, and delivery functionality, including:
- Our own media resolution service, which receives the links you look up
- Content delivery networks operated by the source platforms, which serve the media file directly to your device when you download it
- Google Play Services
- Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK)
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for advertising consent and privacy choices
- Firebase Analytics
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Firebase Performance Monitoring
- Firebase Remote Config
- Google Play In-App Review
- Google Play In-App Update
These services may process limited information such as the link being resolved, network information, device and service identifiers, or diagnostics, as needed to provide their functionality.

4. Permissions Used by the App
Internet and Network Access
Used to look up links, download files, and tell you immediately when there is no connection rather than after a long timeout.
Notifications
Used to tell you when a download finishes or fails while you are in another app. This is optional. If you decline it, downloads still work; you simply are not notified.
Storage (Android 9 and below only)
Used only on Android 9 and earlier to save downloads into your shared media folders. From Android 10 onward the App writes its own media entries and needs no storage permission at all, which is why this permission is capped and is never requested on a modern device.
Background Work
Added by Android's WorkManager library, which is what lets a download survive you leaving the App, and lets a queued download resume after the device restarts. These are normal permissions and are never prompted for.
Analytics and Measurement
Included by Google SDKs for advertising and measurement. These permissions support access to advertising identifiers, Android Privacy Sandbox features, and install attribution. Firebase uses identifiers for analytics, while Google AdMob may use them for ad delivery, personalization where permitted, measurement, and fraud prevention, subject to your choices and applicable requirements.
You can limit their use or reset the advertising identifier at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
Device Safety: The App requests no location permission, no camera or microphone permission, no contacts permission, and no access to the list of apps installed on your device.
5. Local Storage and Data Deletion
Most App data is stored locally on your device. This includes your download history, your app preferences, your chosen language, and the files you downloaded.
You can delete locally stored App data by:
- Deleting individual downloads from within the Downloads screen
- Clearing Loadly's app data from Android settings
- Uninstalling the App
Two things are worth knowing about uninstalling:
- Files saved to your gallery (with “Save to gallery” on) stay on your device. They belong to your device, and you can delete them from your gallery or file manager like any other file.
- Files saved to the App's own folder (with “Save to gallery” off) are deleted with the App, because Android removes that folder on uninstall. Move anything you want to keep out of the App first.
6. Data Sharing
Loadly uses Google AdMob for advertising. Advertising data is processed and shared as described in this policy, subject to applicable privacy choices.
Third-party services process data to resolve links, deliver files, report crashes, and provide analytics and advertising. Google AdMob processes and shares advertising data as described in section 1(h). Your download history, the links you look up, and the files you save are never shared for advertising or marketing purposes.
The App also lets you share a downloaded file or open it in another app using Android's own share sheet. Sharing that way is user-initiated and is controlled entirely by the app or service you choose to send it to.
7. Security
All communication between the App and our service uses HTTPS, and the App does not permit unencrypted network traffic. We take reasonable steps to protect user data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Content, Copyright, and Responsible Use
Loadly is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected to any of the platforms whose links it can read. All product names, logos, and brands are the property of their respective owners, and are referred to only to describe what the App can do.
The App does not host, store, or distribute any media. It reads a link you provide, finds media already published at that address, and transfers it directly to your device.
You are responsible for how you use the App. You should download only content that you own, that is licensed for reuse, or that you otherwise have the right to save, and you should respect the terms of service of the platform the content came from and the rights of the person who created it. Downloading from YouTube is not supported by the App.
9. Children's Privacy
Loadly is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that a child has provided personal data, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this public privacy policy page, and the effective date at the top will change. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
11. Data Deletion
We do not create user accounts and we do not store personal user profiles on our own servers.
Links sent to our media resolution service, and the IP addresses those requests come from, are used only to fulfil the request and are not retained for any longer than that takes. We do not maintain a history of submitted links or download requests, so there is no stored record of your lookups for us to hand over, search, or delete on request — there is nothing kept in the first place.
Download history, preferences, and downloaded files are stored locally on your device and can be deleted by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App, as described in section 5.
Data processed by Firebase and Google AdMob, including analytics events, crash logs, performance data, advertising interactions, and identifiers, is handled according to Google's retention and deletion practices. Resetting your advertising identifier in Android settings disconnects future measurement data from the previous one. If you would like us to request deletion of the Firebase data associated with your app installation, contact us at the address below and include the date and approximate time you used the App.
